Dr. Daya Shankar Gupta is a neuroscientist whose main interest is to understand the representation of physical time-dimension in the brain. Time-dimension is represented in oscillatory phenomena within the patterns of spikes. Time-dimension is an integral part of our physical universe, whose representation in the brain plays a key role in its interaction with external physical universe. Dr. Gupta’s specific interests include the study of the role of physical time-dimension in action, perception, temporal binding of perception with action, as well as the information processing underlying cognitive functions. Dr. Gupta is currently hosting several Research Topics in this key area of neuroscience at Frontiers Journals.
